Injection lipolysis – “fat-away injection”
Injection lipolysis is a non-surgical fat reduction procedure in which a special solution, usually consisting of phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholic acid, is injected into the fatty tissue. These substances promote the breakdown of fat cells and their subsequent elimination by the body. The treatment is often used on problem areas such as the stomach, thighs, chin or hips.
The procedure is minimally invasive and does not usually require long downtimes, although swelling, bruising or pain may occur at the injection sites. Several sessions are necessary to achieve optimal results.
When should the treatment not be carried out?
- Diabetes
- Wound healing disorders
- Liver and kidney dysfunction
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
