Correction and regulation of pigment spots
The Cosmelan product is a successful treatment method for all types of melanin-related stains. The treatment is carried out without conventional bleaching agents and without deep peeling. The therapy has no side effects or skin irritation. Cosmelan is one of the safest and most effective treatments for hyperpigmentation.
Cosmelan is a unique method for treating pigmentation spots and reducing excessive melanin production.
This treatment is highly effective against melasma, dark spots after inflammation and darkly pigmented acne scars. Cosmelan consists of a combination of bleaching substances: Kojic acid – from Japanese mushrooms, phytic acid – a plant-based bleaching product, vitamin C – a natural bleaching agent and retinol palmitate – a derivative from the vitamin A series.
The treatment is suitable for all skin types and can be carried out all year round. The therapy begins on site in the practice and is supplemented with a home treatment.
Several precisely coordinated active ingredients set enzymatic processes in motion that lead to a visible depigmentation of the affected skin after just ten days. Without any aggressive bleaching agents.
The secret of Cosmelan/Dermamelan
On the one hand, the active ingredients contained in Cosmelan accelerate the desquamation of the top layer of skin. As a result, the pigmentation spots visible on the surface become significantly lighter after the skin’s natural renewal cycle of 28 days. On the other hand, Cosmelan works in the deeper epidermis and reduces both the formation and distribution of the pigment melanin there. As pigmentation spots are not easy to treat, this mode of action is required on two levels.
Particular attention must be paid to deep-seated pigments:
- Peelings have a superficial effect and the effect is not long-lasting.
- Laser treatments break up the pigments and they are removed via the lymphatic system. If the treatment is too deep, the melanocytes are completely destroyed and unsightly white spots can appear.
- A treatment system that stops the tyrosinase and thus stops the hyperpigmentation is safer and that is exactly the task of Cosmelan!
How does treatment with Cosmelan/Dermamelan work?
After the skin has been manually cleansed of make-up and dirt and disinfected, the Cosmelan mask is applied first. The application time is several hours, depending on the depth and intensity of the melasma.
The mask remains on the skin for 8 to 12 hours.
You can remove the mask yourself after approx. 8-12 hours. This is followed by home care with special products and according to a specially developed protocol.
Solarium and sun exposure must be avoided after treatment with Cosmelan. In addition, a sun protection cream with SPF 130+ must be used, which is included in the home care package.
