Carboxytherapy is an advanced cosmetic treatment that utilizes the maximum allowable carbonation level of 60,000 ppm. Carbonization refers to the process by which organic substances, such as carbohydrates and fats, are transformed into a more stable state through a controlled exposure to carbon. This process, which is used in medical cosmetics, enables deep activation of skin cells and promotes skin regeneration. The carbon molecules used in carboxytherapy have the ability to penetrate deep into the skin layers and activate a variety of biochemical reactions that lead to intensive skin improvement.

The carbonation level of 60,000 ppm (parts per million) represents the highest permissible value in cosmetic application and guarantees a particularly strong and deep-acting treatment. This high concentration enables the therapy to act on all layers of the epidermis, the basal membrane and the papillary layer of the dermis, thus achieving deep, visible changes on the skin surface and in deeper skin layers.

Unlike many other cosmetic procedures, carboxytherapy is carried out without the use of laser technology, making it particularly gentle. No laser beam is applied to the skin, making it an ideal choice for people with sensitive or delicate skin who may react negatively to other, more invasive treatments. This treatment is therefore also suitable for sensitive skin types as it does not use aggressive technology and only gently stimulates the skin.

What is carbonation and why is it important?

In cosmetic treatment, the term carbonization means that carbon or carbon compounds (in the form of carbon dioxide or special carbon solutions) are applied to the skin to trigger a chemical reaction. This reaction promotes blood circulation, activates cell regeneration and improves the skin’s structure.

Carbonization in carboxytherapy works on a microscopic level by stimulating the cells to produce more collagen and elastin. These two substances are responsible for skin elasticity and firmness. In addition, microcirculation is stimulated, which results in the skin being better supplied with nutrients and oxygen.

Advantages of carboxytherapy:

1. improvement of microcirculation and skin nourishment:

    • Carboxytherapy promotes blood and lymph circulation, which improves the supply of important nutrients and oxygen to the skin. This gives the skin a fresh, healthy complexion and a more youthful appearance.
    • “Vibrant” facial color: The skin gains luminosity as the microcirculation optimally supplies the skin cells with nutrients.
    • Strengthening the turgor: The skin is given more elasticity, which leads to a tightening of the skin and small wrinkles are reduced.

2. lightening of the skin tone and improvement in couperose: The intensive blood circulation makes the skin tone more even and reddening of the skin (as occurs with couperose) is reduced.

3. accelerated regeneration and rejuvenation:

    • Wrinkle smoothing: The treatment promotes collagen production, which leads to a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
    • Lifting effects: The skin texture is visibly tightened, creating a gentle lifting effect. This ensures a younger and fresher appearance.
    • Brightening of the skin tone: Skin tone is lightened by the treatment, making the skin appear more radiant and vibrant overall.
    • Refinement of the pores: The treatment leads to a refinement of the pores, making the skin look smoother and more even.

4. faster healing of inflammation: The soothing effect of the therapy heals inflamed skin more quickly, which is particularly beneficial for acne or skin irritations.

5. skin cleansing and anti-inflammatory effect:

    • Combating pathogenic microflora: The carbon solution has a cleansing effect by combating harmful microorganisms on the skin and thus reducing skin problems such as acne, pimples and inflammation.
    • Anti-inflammatory effect: The treatment has an anti-inflammatory effect and helps to reduce redness, irritation and inflammatory processes on the skin.

Carboxytherapy can be used both as a stand-alone treatment and in combination with other aesthetic procedures, such as:

  • Chemical peels to remove dead skin cells and refine the skin.
  • Apparative methods, such as ultrasound or radio frequency treatments, to additionally tighten the skin.
  • Microneedling to further stimulate collagen production and enhance the effect of the carbon solution.
  • Facial cleansing and massages to cleanse and relax the skin and further improve microcirculation.
